Calaveras Arts Literary League Presents eBook It

Join computer scientist and author Lou Gonzalez for a Manzanita Writers Press eBook creation workshop on Saturday, July 14 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Calaveras County Arts Council Gallery, 22 Main Street, San Andreas.

Whether you have a book ready to publish, a group of short stories or poems, or simply want to learn how to prepare your work for publication on Kindle or Nook, Lou will show you how and give you materials and instruction to get you going.
You'll learn how to properly organize your manuscript according to eBook requirements, use Word Style Sheets for efficient manuscript preparation and changes associated with eBooks, and send your publication to Kindle and Nook. If your manuscript is ready to go, you may accomplish all these tasks in the class.
If you are able to bring a laptop with you to the workshop you'll get hands-on experience in creating a sample template to use for eBook creation and practice the steps necessary to prepare your manuscript. You'll learn how to view your eBook before you send it to a distributor and explore the process of submitting your manuscript for publication. Manzanita Writers Press publishing staff will be there to help with editing questions, and more in-depth editing assistance can be arranged.
If your manuscript is ready for publication, you may see it for sale on Kindle within 48 hours! How many six-hour workshops have taken you that far?
The cost for this valuable experience is $95, which includes the workshop, materials and instruction, lunch and morning and afternoon refreshments. Register early as the workshop space is limited and seats are going fast.
Make your $95 check payable to CCAC/Manzanita Writers Press and mail it to Manzanita Writers Press, PO Box 632, San Andreas, CA 95249. For more information contact Monika Rose at 209-754-0577, Linda Field at 209-736-0222, or the Arts Council at 209-754-1774. END
