New Sheriff's Substation in Valley Springs

According to a press release, on January 16, 2013 at 1 PM, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office will host its grand opening of the new Valley Springs Sheriff's substation located in the MarVal shopping complex, next door to the post office.

The substation had its "soft opening" in December during which time the usual kinks were worked out.

The substation will be manned by members of the Sheriff's Volunteer Unit, and will be used by Sheriff's Volunteer Unit and will be used by Sheriff's deputies in their day-to-day duties.

Valley Springs' new resident deputy, Corporal Rudi Leon, will also be utilizing the substation as his office.

The re-opening of a substation in Valley Springs is one of the pledges the Sheriff made in his commitment towards community oriented policing.

Sheriff Gary Kuntz would like to welcome everyone to join him at the official opening of the Substation on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
