Oakland Wants State of Emergency Declared

The Vice-Mayor of the City of Oakland begged Governor Brown to declare a State of Emergency for their city to combat the rash of crime happening there.

Brown, who officially lives in Oakland, told them they had to figure out and solve their own problems, that he will help if he can, but the city says they have "lost control" and need help.

Doesn't appear that state aid is comingto them, although Oakland crime and murders is exceeding even Stockton.

The Governor could assist with the national guard with a state of emergency? Oh wait, he forgot to add in the 109 alignment costs to the budget, so the state has a bigger deficit than publicly expressed. OOOPs!
