OP-ED...Clearing out our Watershed for LA water?

Due to a press release today, May 16, 2013, issued by the Calaveras County Water District, we
have learned what Governor Brown and the statewide water resource boards, as well as the Fire Board, controlled by SPI, are headed towards.

It appears to us that a penel for Watershied Science, hosted by our own CCWD Director Bob Dean is showing the intention of the state as the way they will provide more water to LA.

Clear out the watershed, the trees, the brush, so that the water runoff will be "enhanced". They state that due to global warming they will need more enhanced runoff, and therefore will need to clear cut much more of the watershed.

And that is our forest. Where is Callaway and where are the environmentalists who have been fighting against any kind of growth, in order to preserve every tree and foot of land.

They could care less, that's what. It is these same people who will encourage this, calling it "fire prevention" or suck up to Jerry Brown so he can give more water to LA by clear-cutting our forests.

Bob Dean is apparently heading this up in our county. How disgusting is this? Are we that stupid?  More to come..

OMG, i just got it! Our area will probably burn down due to the global warming anyway, so they might as well take away the watershed and let the water flow. I think i'm going to be sick!
