Levis and the 49ers go together

In the goldrush days, the original 49ers needed pants that would hold up to tough work, and the Levi Strauss company was born.

Now Levis and the San Francisco 49ers are back together, as the Levi Strauss company won the rights to name the new stadium in Santa Clara.

They will pay $122 million over 20 years for the privilege. Several other companies in the Bay Area were in contention until today.
