Spellman gets Publicity...not good, though!

May 22, 2013:   Supervisor Darren Spellman, most likely a short-timer in the District 5 seat, has been complaining about not getting enought press.  We found that the Valley Springs News
was actually named in one email he sent around.

In the email, which the Valley Springs News printed in its entirety, Spellman appears to be mad that he didn't gain some local publicity from the murder of that little girl in his neighborhood.

Can you believe that? To quote Nick Baptista, editor of the Valley Springs News in today's issue,

" It's pretty clear that he (Spellman) is upset because he didn't get some political traction in our newspaper after the tragic death of an 8-year-old child.

I think his email shows his true colors as a shallow, insensitive, self-absorbed person who was unqualified to hold the office he was elected to and has been the laughingstock at the Board of Supervisors Chambers since seated in 2011.

Spellman's childish antics always sell papers and I'm sure this egotistical hissy fit will too, and reminds me when I do need insight and commentary from the village idiot, I need to call Darren Spellman."

WHAT MORE CAN WE SAY?  Oh, yes! We agree completely, Mr. Baptista!

Hilarious! The next email he sends around will most likely be a threat to sue. He's already threatened to sue just about every publication and website in the area when they don't print good things about him.

We'll all miss Spellman. He's always good for a laugh. That's about all, though!

Maybe available in print, but the VSN's website certainly could use some type of update... This is 2013.
