Calaveras County Water District rate Increase meeting Part 1 of 10

June 10, 2013:   As most everyone now knows, CCWD held a public meeting at Independence Hall
in Arnold to explain the necessary rate increases they now plan.

People didn't seem to want to hear the long diatribe that the CCWD GM had all planned. The residents, and there were nearly 100 of them, wanted to ask questions right away.

One person asked "Can we have a list of all the ratepayers in the County?"  NO! was the reply.

Why don't you have enough money was another question.  Because  we thought that we would continue to have 400+ new connections a year like we had before the crash.

So that mean that out Supervisors are responsible for their losing money at CCWD? Well, yes, because they put an end to all building with their moratorium and Resolution 07-242.

During the "good times" they made a 5 year plan to make expensive capital improvements, and now we have no money, they said.

What about the expensive new building they just built?

More coming!!! This is part 1 of 10
