After certain individuals came to the City and complained about a path in the downtown area of
Angels Camp that was overgrown with bushes and had uneven planks, etc. the City Engineer put the item on the agenda.
Since the City of Angels Camp has never purchased easements for sidewalk construction, they neither have the right to force you to allow them to change anything or improve conditions.
During the years the City was digging sewers, threatening and forcing property owners (even calling the Police out if the property owner did not want them digging holes on their property, it became perfectly clrar that this is NOT a city who cares anything about the rights of its voters.
The new City Attorney says they can force the property owner to repair a sidewalk that the property owner most likely doesn't even want, but has allowed others to walk on.
The City of Angels Camp might be able to use this as a way of encouraging some property owners to give the City a right-of-way. But no!!
This City Counicl will continue to try and control our land not matter what!! No wonder the residents dislike them so much!!!
