Big Boy dies after being shot by on-duty cop

   In the suburbs of Boulder, Colorado, they love their wildlife.  And Big Boy, a large elk that hung around the neighborhood was one of their favorites.

   Sam Carter, a former cop, is now on trial after shooting the elk while on duty last fall, as it quietly grazed under a tree.

    He is charged with allegedly trying to bribe an official, did the elk deserve to die and was their an attempted cover-up?

   Carter could go to prison for his act if convicted.  The stately neighborhood in Boulder does not take kindly to animal murder!  When will this happen in California?? Murdering an innocent animal is no different that murdering a person, is it?
