After a lengthy investigation and reading all of the Neutral Assessment reports about the illegal Candy Rock Gun Range created
and continued by the USFS for around 1500 members (most from out of the County), we have formed an opinion that it should be closed!! There are other places the USFS has suggested.
In Calaveras County, especially in Ebbetts Pass, there is one loud-mouth who works on a Supervisorial campaign for Michael Oliveira, and considers this his own personal FREE shooting range. Why does he support Oliveira??? Guess!!!
The garbage, filth, noise and abuse of local homeowners has long been ignored by the USFS and their private gun club. The NRA has NOT recognized this as a legal gun range!
Where do these shooters go to the bathroom? Guess! Why do they put their liquor bottles and cans? And why are shells found everywhere, not just at the range itself.
The Sierra Sentinel is not against shooting. We are against harassment of neighbors, threats, attempted coercion of media owners through threats. Is the USFS also threatened and harassed by a certain big-mouth???
This range was installed by the US Forest Service when there were only a very few shooters in the area. On Saturdays there are now over 1000 rounds fired at that location. Does the USFS care about respecting neighbors at all?
The USFS approved an illegal gun range knowing there were homes nearby. Do the range members, who now, by signed declaration, number over 1500, have any respect for others?
We are aware of the loudest MOUTH of all, who we believe has not respect for anyone except himself. Mr. Borean, who is running for Supervisor in that district is also a shooter.
He has stated publicly that he stood on the porch of one homeowner in the area and could not believe the noise. Is there someone out there writing letters and lying about the facts? Who could that be, another candidate's committee?
Why did Gary Kuntz state "why doesn't the USFS take their targets and stuff and go home" because he didn't want to police these people.

omg, you are so right. I know who that is. kookoofor cocopuffs I am convinced! If the USFS cared about any of us, they would have already moved it away from homes.
I read some of the lies in another publication. They will say and do anything to get free shooting. No one who could shoot there is a nice person. They could go to a legal range and pay, but they want NO rules or charge.

That's why I want Olivera elected. he will keep us candyrock. better not try to stop us from shooting anywhere we want.
It's perfectly clear that you don't care about the lives of homeowners in Canyon View Estates or their property values. You are exactly why I will vote for anyone but Oliveras.
I read the article about Olivera wanting 6 more gun ranges near other subdivisions. That was the end for me. He's not even a true resident of the area in my opinion.
It would be so simple to move it up higher into the forest, away from homes. What is wrong with the USFS anyway?
I know some of the gun nuts. They have no respect for anyone or anything. Have you seen that place after they go down there to play with their guns.

The Kuntz bunch: Olivera, Preston and gang! Do not elect any of them unless you want Preston running District 3.OMG
I recommend no one sign their name to any negative comment about Preston or Oliveras. Believe me, it would not be a good idea.
I just read that neutral assessment. trash, gun shells, noise,shooting anywhere they please. Move that thing.
I don't think they are all crazy, but their leaders ovliveia and his campaign charman I totally believe are hollow between the ears.
