After fighting for years and searching for the funding, the Golden Gate Bridge will get a 20' net on each side of the bridge.
The Golden Gate is 2nd only to the Yangtse River Bridge in China for suicides. The cost is around $75 million. Supporters say they don't want the Golden Gate to be known as the 'bridge of death' anymore.

won't people be able to jump down to the net and then off the edge of the netting...for $75 million....
