CHP reports that on June 29, 2014 at approximately 3:30 PM Jason Caspary of Eureka was driving his Ford pickup at about 45 MPH westbound on Hwy 26 west of Jojoba Rd.
Caspary stated that he noticed a grey sports car in the westbound lane travelling eastbound at a high rate of speed.
Caspary turned his vehicle to the right to avoid the sports car causing the Ford to collide with a dirt embankment and overturning onto the roadway.
Caspary was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital with major injuries.
