Just above Forest Meadows on Hwy 4 there is a black bear cub that was apparently killed during the night, most likely by one of those large wood chip trucks.
It did not appear to be old enough to be on its own, but as we have discovered, someone is killing or trapping the mother bears, forcing the cubs to try and survive, often with dire consequences.
