Crash on Hwy 49

According to a CHP report, on June 3, 2015 Russell Ankele (28) of Soulsbyville was driving his 2001 Ford Ranger southbound on Hwy 49 south of
Chicken Ranch Road in Jamestown and Michael Noya (54) was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Hwy 49.

Ankele, due to his fatigue, allowed the Ford to cross completely into the opposing traffic lane directly into the path of Noya's Chevrolet.

Noya steered he Chevrolet onto the right shoulder in order to avoid a collision with the Ford.

Noya was unable to avoid a collision and the left side of the Ford collided with the left side (mirror and utility bed) of the Chevrolet.

After the collision, both vehicles were pulled to the sides of the road.  Ankele was not transported to the hospital for his injuries, which included a laceration to his left forearm and his face.  Noya was not injured.
