Del Rio threatened by fire--McHenry Ave. shut down

 UPDATE June 19, 2015: Three homes were lost in the Del Rio area and it is believed the Lotus Gardens suffered some major damage, but firefighters late last night were able to fully contain this fire.

   30 to 40 acres were burned. The winds were causing severe spreading into homes in the area.

 UPDATE at 4:50 PM:  A elderly resident on Bing Ave in the fire area has just reported hearing an explosion and wants to know if she should evacuate.


 UPDATE at 4:05 PM:  Another order for more fire engines has been given for 7824 McHenry in Escalon.

  UPDATE at 3:45 PM:  The McHenry Fire
  Incident Command has requested three more water tenders. It is being referred overall to as the San Joaquin fire. It began in San Joaquin County
and moved into Stanislaus County.

  UPDATE at 3:30 PM  An ambulance was just dispatched for a burn
victim to McHenry Ave. It is reported that power poles are on fire reaching the wires.  There are several incident commands in this fire.

 UPDATE at 3:25 PM:  A structure was reported
on fire on 79415 McHenry Ave. Others are threatened. Need more engines. CHP is assisting in closing down roadways.

June 18, 2015 at 3:15 PM:  A warning was just issued for the Del Rios
community, as a fire in the area has jumped the river outside Riverbank. McHenry is being shut down at Ladd Ave.

   They have not issued evacuation warnings, but the fire is spotting off McHenry in the Lotus Gardens area.  They have requested more help from Oakdale and surrounding areas.
