June 20, 2015 at 9:10 AM: We aren't sure why but Fish and Game was just notified. Perhaps some fuel spilled into the river. We aren't sure.
June 20, 2015 at 9 AM: A 28 foot box truck blew out a front tire, broke their axle and ended up stuck in a ditch on Hwy 88 at Toyon in Pine Grove.
The fuel tank was also ruptured and
50 gallons of fuel have been spilled. CHP is at the scene and discovered this is G & H Transport's truck out of Rancho Cordova. The phone there doesn't answer.
HAZMAT will be required for clean-up. The driver apparently has no contact numbers for assistance. One way traffic control is in effect. A heavy duty tow truck has been dispatched to that location.
