Apparently the emergency meeting held by the Angels Camp City Council today at 3 PM brought some residents angry that they were being evacuated.
They have just issued another press release, stating that the mandatory evacuations for the east side of North Main Street (Hwy 49), in addition to all the streets around Dogtown Round, including Gardner Lane are under MANDATORY evacuations.
However, nothing in the DOWNTOWN area of Angels Camp was evacuated. Dogtown Road residents are a burr in the craw of City Council members, as they want to develop Dogtown Road for some friends.
