One spark of intelligence at Calaveras Supervisors meeting??

Hours and hours of bureaucratic red tape, filings, fees and negative rules were taking up precious time at the October 13, 2015 Calaveras Supervisors meeting, while those left homeless from the Butte Fire remain traumatized
after losing everything.

One spark of intelligence was made by a member of the public when they suggested that the county INSIST that PG&E put all lines UNDERGROUND, and do it now.

Did our cowardly elected officials agree?  Not one said a word!  This was a positive thing they could fight for to prevent all kinds of future problems.

All power and phone lines could be put in conduits to make it safer for all of us.  San Andreas already is underground.

MAKE PG&E put their lines UNDERGROUND, and do it now!!  It seems that if it wasn't the SUPERVISORS idea, it gets scrapped; or perhaps they are terrified of PG&E.

Since they admit a tree falling into the lines caused this fire, PG&E should be at our meetings telling us they are planning to bury their lines from now on. But, no!  And why not?

We've been told we are too rural and not worth the money it would cost them!  We do believe PG&E feels that way, too.  And unless our elected officials stand up and scream, PG&E will get away with it!

Gee, in San Andreas, are the power lines floating in the winter? Poor duh! I am also in favor of putting them all underground everywhere in the county.
