30 year veteran cop stages death

   After a 3 months investigation, the Fox Lake City, Illinois Police Department has announced that Joseph Gliniewicz, a 30 year veteran police officer, did NOT die in a homicide in early July of this year, as previously believed.

   In fact, they say the officer intentionally staged his death to look like a homicide after years of stealing from the department. Now his wife and son are also under investigation.

   The department had believed Gliniewicz was killed by unknown assailants. A
month-long manhunt was undertaken. Also, a miles long procession, which included the Governor, was held to honor Gliniewics at a memorial. 

   Now the entire town is appalled, dismayed and angry that they had been deceived by this man they believed died a hero.
