On November 12, 2015 at 9 AM the Calaveras County Water District board (CCWD) will hold a regular meeting at their offices on Toma Court in San Andreas.Only Board members are allowed to remove
an item from the Consent Agenda for discussion. The public is banned.
On the regular agenda is the approval of appointing Jeff Davidson to the District
(they call it Division) 5 due to their extending terms to match with Calaveras County elections.
Apparently no other candidates (or members of the public) are allowed to apply for the opening.
Also on the agenda is Mr. Davidsons demand that they stop all filming of their meetings because he is running for re-election and is afraid he will look bad?
While it is true that Mr. Lark has turned filming for Public Access TV into an easy and lucrative business for those he teaches to film, (over $500 per meeting) there must be volunteers that will do it for free.
There should be no charge for boards of elected officials to be filmed! The public has a right to know what they are doing with the nearly $2 million a month they spend of our ratepayer and taxpayer money.
