On January 31, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher Monroe Whitehead (35) of Kyburz on Ospital Road in the Burson area.
Whitehead was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Altering a Firearm ID Mark, Concealing a Stolen Firearm, Carrying a Loaded, Stolen Firearm, having a Concealed Firearm in a vehicle, and having a Concealed Firearm in an Occupied Vehicle, all felonies; and for a Concealed Firearm and Carrying a Loaded Firearm in a Public Place, both misdemeanors.
Whitehead has now been released on bond.
