Calaveras Supervisors give tree removal to Tennessee Company

At today's special meeting of the Calaveras Supervisors, one contractor threatened to sue, contesting the award of the $9 million contract to someone else,

Since the public had been made aware of all the bids, re-issuing the RFP seemed ridiculous, so in a 4-1 vote they finalized the contract with Philips and Jordan of Tennessee, to remove Butte Fire trees along county right of way.

Chris Wright was the only Supervisor to vote NO!

why provide jobs for our local experts when you can give the jobs to out of state companies? BoS suck and should all be recalled. Ever heard of helping the local economy
