On August 6, 2016 around 1:45 PM the Calaveras Sheriff was called due to a verbal disturbance over a BBQ pit at White Pines Park.
On the scanner, it appeared the deputy did not want to go, but the reporting party indicated some type of hate speech had been used. No report was taken by the sheriff's office.
