We have heard of various problems with the new Calaveras County Jail construction, but at today's 2017-18 budget hearings Supervisor Tofanelli asked about it.
Tofanelli says the roof leaks and he feels all these problems are original contractor related and the building should have never been signed off. Nothing was decided. We still owe $29 million on the debt.

Now that's funny! If Tofanelli said it never should have been signed off. Wasn't he the BOS go to guy on the construction of the jail and Sheriff's office complex?
Where were the state inspectors when the project was under construction?
Maybe the cannabis growers will offer to pay for the roof repairs.
