Major injuries in vehicle pinning victim

According to CHP on June 20, 2017 around 3 PM Cathye M.N. Snyder (60) of West Point, was driving a Ford Windstar on Hwy 26 near Main Street in West Point.

Benjamin E. Breeke (39) was standing outside of his Chevrolet, which was parked next to the gas pumps at the gas station.

For an unknown reason, Snyder lost control of the Ford. It traveled to the right and off the roadway into the gas station parking lot where the front of the Ford collided with the left side of the Chevrolet.

The impact pushed the Chevrolet into Breeke, pinning him between the Chevrolet and the gas pump.

Breeke was transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital with major injuries. Alcohol and or drugs were not believed to be a factor, although this collision is still under investigation.
