Animal Services Moved to Environmental Health

There are more homelss animals than
ever due to our Supervisors killing the
economy in Calaveras County!
It took months to complete the negotiations with Brian Moss, who heads up Environmental Health, but he is now responsible for Animal Services for Calaveras County.

The Sheriff, Gary Kuntz announced to the Board of Supervisors prior to budget hearings that they would no longer take the responsibility for Animal Services, due to cuts in their department's budget.

How Brian Moss thinks he can handle the problems and complaints is difficult to understand, but the Supervisors gave him more money to try and handle the situation.

Will Laurie Murray still be heading up Animal Services? Without the Sheriff's department authority, we foresee problems.  We'll try to keep you up to date.
