Douglas James Peffer, a 17 year resident of Angels Camp and Dorrington, passed away at age 49.

Born in Fremont to Robert and Anita Peffer, who currently live in Ashland, Oregon. Douglas was the youngest of four children;  his brother is Mike Peffer, and  sisters are Cheryl Ugland, and Jeanne Peffer-Lucas.

He graduated from Mission San Jose High School in 1981, joined the Marine Corps in 1982 and was honorably discharged in 1985 as a corporal.

He met his wife Stephanie (Phillips) Peffer in high school and they were married  on July 20, 1985. They have been married for 27 years.
