In a surprise to many, and with applause from the audience, Chris Mathews of MSNBC, slammed Reince Priebus, the RNC Chairman, leaving Priebus extremely nervous and looking to Joe Scarborough for help on Morning Joe today, August 27, 2012.
Asking hard questions regarding Medicare and calling the birth certificate comment racist, even Mika Brzinski was looking astonished at Priebus' becoming unnerved.
Many Republican candidates do not like Mathews because of his hard-hitting style and lack of fear in putting candidates on the spot, but he is well-respected among his colleagues.

my feeling is that as long as the extremist and racist republicans are allowed to continue on their mission, Romney will not be able to pickup independents or even anti-racist moderate Republicans
Romney says he meant the "birther" comment to be a joke.
