A traffic accident at Hwy 4 and Sheep Ranch Road and Fullen Rd in Avery was reported to CHP at about 3:10 PM on September 29, 2012.
According to CHP Bradley Gaisford, 32 of Murphys, was driving westbound on Avery Sheep Ranch Rd at a high rate of speed while intoxicated
and failed to negotiate a left curve in the road.
He 1986 Jeep went off the right edge of the Hwy and struck a dirt embankment before crossing back over the Hwy and overturning.
Gaisford was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with moderate injuries, arrested and subsequently releassed to hospital personnel for treatment.
His Jeep received total damage, per the CHP report.
