UPDATE: New rumors surface that the Planning Department is blaming the Sub-committee for the cancelling of the Copperopolis Community Plan meeting.
That cannot be verified, and in fact, we have heard that is NOT TRUE!! Why does this Copper Community Plan organization seem as phony as when the old committee was in charge?
We heard that the next Copperopolis Community Plan meeting was cancelled by the Planning Department.
No one seems to know why this happened.

At a previous meeting the Planning Director wanted the Copper meetings to be less frequent due to the staff work load of completing the General Plan Update within one year. - Al Segalla
that's not a good excuse. the county just gave them another $300,000 of our tax money to hire someone else to finish it, didn't they.
I'll bet this is Haley and Spellman's idea. They don't want a community plan. This is about Sawmill getting approved as easy as possible. Is Ponte involved in this? We residents have a right to know.

The plan group serves at the will of the bos not planning. planning should not be preparing agendas or meetings. we have advised gillarde of this. if the committee is not capable of holding meetings without direction, they should be released
Maybe county needs gentle reminder that the plan committee should function just fine without them. Ponte said she wanted to kill the plan...maybe she is doing it.
