Supervisor Ponte of District 4's Response to the Presidents proposed changes to our gun laws:
"There is a flurry of talk and activity most recently due to the horrific
shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary in December last year.
I think it is too early to comment on any of the "proposed" changes coming from all sides. Sadly, they are making the issue look like a circus in my opinion.
I do support the Second Amerndment Right. For the most part I believe the guns are not the problem, it's our society and how far off track we have become over the years.
We need to find a way to get back to basics. Any suggestions?'
