UPDATE: The road was finally reopened at around 2:20 PM for traffic
UPDATE: Unfortunately, at 12:35 PM this head-on crash was listed as a fatality.
UPDATE: At 12:15 PM CHP requested both vehicles be held for evidence. Tow trucks were dispatched.
5-17-13: At 11:41 AM a head-on crash was reported on Curran Rd and Quiver Drive in Ione. An ambulance is responding to the scene.
This is reportedly near the fire station there, and emergency responders there are assisting. Two CHP are still enroute to that location. Use extra caution if in that area.
