Were Tea Parties really over-scrutinized?

While Republicans are making a big show of acting like the IRS picks on Tea Party types when they file for non-profit status, most of us who have ever filed for a non-profit know that they check and recheck, then postpone, delay and finally will approve most applications for 501c3 ir 501c4 status.

Since it became public this morning that there was a sudden and large influx of applications to handle, with tea party type groups popping up everywhere in the country, this is likely true.

Some are smiling at the possible antics of the IRS, however, and defend their actions. Republicans are simply acting like they care about the tea parties. It makes many of us quietly smile,

That wasn't very nice to say. Most likely true, but not nice.

When they first started having get-togethers i went to one to see what it was like. Some of the people there were real nice. Racist, yes, but nice.
