5-4-13: The Calaveras Sheriff's office seems to be giving mixed messages regarding the search for the killer of 8 year old Leila Fowler.
Two days ago they stated that the person is still in the county, but now they are saying it is safe because they are sure the killer has left the county.
We don't think they have any idea at this time as to where or who the actual killer is, especially since their main witness (other than the brother) recanted her story.
Let's just hope no one was allowed into the home where the little girl was killed prior to the FBI investigation, so no evidence could possible be tainted.
