The Angels Camp City Council meets on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 6 PM. And again they are meeting
in the Bret Harte Theater for the Greenhorn Creek residents, so they will be comfortable.
They are still discussing how to pay to fix the wetlands. Last meeting they voted 3-1-1 with Raggio absent and Lynch voting against it to make the Greenhorn LLD pay for the restoration.
The City does not want any responsibility and even though the Golf Course, it was mentioned as possible not releasing the agreed to amount of water into the wetlands, it is difficult to prove.
We believe that the lack of water is everything in preserving a wetlands area. But the City attorney wants to continue holding meetings to come to a new agreement with the Golf Course owner, instead of filing litigation.
This has been going on for many, many years, and nothing has been done yet by the old City Attorney or the new one.
The developer at this point does not have much liability in this case.
