On July 23, 2013 at around 7 PM Annadine Matheny (41) of Jamestown, was driving a 1994 Mazda southbound on Jamestown Road,
approaching Golf Links Road in Jamestown at a high rate of speed, according to CHP.
Matheny was passing vehicles over the double yellow lines and straddled the double yellow lines as she tried to make the right curve in the roadway at Golf LInks Road, according to witnesses.
Matheny's vehicle collided head-on with a 1997 Buick driven by Robert Roberson (66) of Jamestown, which was traveling northbound on Jamestown Road.
Roberson was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extricated before being life flighted to Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
Matheny was life flighted to Doctors Hospital for a major laceration to her neck and is being investigated for possible Driving Under the Influence (DUI), per the CHP report
