July 10, 2013 Zimmerman trial: Dennis Root, the retired cop who is testifying for the defense,
on cross-examination admitted that he started his consulting company after HE contacted the defense this year.
On other questions, he was not able to account for details on time and any of the details about where Zimmerman dropped his keys, or most other physical details.
He had stated on direct that the timeline was extremely important, he had not tried to follow any timeline based on the cellphone or dispatch evidence.
He never asked the defendant what he had done with HIS hands the entire time. He admitted that everything he understood was from Zimmerman, the defendant, and that the victim isn't able to tell us anything.
