Douglas Coke (56) also of Twain Harte was driving a 2006 Dodge westbound on Hwy 108 west of Peaceful Oak Road at approximately 55 MPH.

The driver of the Honda swerved abruptly to the left, and drove over the solid double yellow lines and into the westbound lane, directly into the path of the path of the Dodge.

Mr. Coke swerved after observing the Honda, to the right and applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision with the Honda.

The Honda continued across the westbound lane and collided with the front of the Dodge.

Both vehicles continued in a northerly direction onto the north shoulder where the Dodge overturned.

Ruth Wright was killed in the crash. Both Douglas Coke and his passenger Pamela Coke (49) of Twain Harte were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were a factor. The investigation into this crash continues.
