How is Calaveras Supervisor District 5 Election? Four Candidates, one VOTE!!

In Rancho Calaveras, District 5 elections for Supervisor are very heated. There is the incumbent, who embarrassed the entire county by making his Mormon religion
the official religion of Calaveras County last week.  All rights for women have been erased by this vote!

This was agreed to by Chair Debbie Ponte and Vice-Chair Cliff Edson. A sad day for Calaveras County all around.  These three cannot bring one new job to the County, but they can make the Mormon religion the official religion of Calaveras.

Then there is the Crane perpetual candidacy, every election, every office that is open, she runs for without ANY qualifications or hope of winning. People out there know her!!!

Roy Estakhri entered the race close to the deadline. A very well-spoken young man, he is a fire captain in the area. His views are mainly constitutional and tea party libertarian, however. A little too far out there for most.

Then there is Steve Kearney, the regular active citizen and past manager of the local drug store in the area.  Everyone likes him, he takes no extremist views that we know of and would likely make a darn good Supervisor.
