Stabbing and Biting in Columbia

      According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office on April 20, 2014 around 5 PM deputies were

called to a dispute occurring at a residence in the 12000 block

   Upon arrival the deputies met with several individuals whom all had been consuming alcohol and appeared under the influence of alcohol.

   Deputies determined that four of the individuals whom had been staying together at the residence had been drinking throughout the day.   An argument had turned into a physical fight between the four individuals.

    During the course of the altercation a 46 year old female was bitten in the face, allegedly by suspect, 45 year old Brent Snyder.   The bite completely removed one of the victims eyebrows.

   A 54 year old male victim was stabbed twice in the shoulder allegedly by suspect 48 year old Dean Phillips, Jr.

   The female victim was transported from the residence to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

   The male victim had left the residence just prior to the deputies arriving and he was located in the parking lot of a business on Parrots Ferry Road.

   He was also transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center for his injuries. Both victim's injuries were considered non-life threatening.

Snyder
   Brent Snyder of Columbia was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for alleged violation of 205 PC aggravated Mayhem. He is being held in the Tuolumne County Jail on $500,000 bail.


Dean Phillips, Jr. of Columbia was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for alleged violation of 245 (A)(1) PC Assault with a Deadly Weapon.   He is being held at the Jail on $40,000 bail.

   As of this morning (4/21/14  detectives are still at the scene and continuing the investigation. No other information is available at this time.
