According to the Angels Camp Police Department on June 16, 2015 around 11:55 AM a call for a fire on Sultana Lane brought Angels Camp Fire Department,
Altaville Melones Fire Department, San Andreas Fire Department and CalFire to a residential fire.
Units arrived on scene to find a single family residence that was 75% engulfed in flames. The resident was able to exit the residence unharmed and received assistance from Red Cross volunteers.
Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the residence without any spreading to nearby vegetation or other residences. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
