According to the Stanislaus County Sheriffs Office, shortly after midnight June 15, 2015 Hughson Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 3100 block of Berkeley Road, just outside the City of Hughson.
As firefighters were extinguishing the fire in the house, they located the body of an adult male inside the residence.
After the fire was extinguished, a fire investigator and Sheriff's Detectives responded to the house to conduct an investigation on the cause of the fire.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time as the investigation is still on-going. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
