Hwy 50 closed due to Kyburz Fire

This fire appears to have been
started by a pickup pulling off
into some dry grass, but it is
still under investigation.

   As of 8 AM on July 24, 2015 Hwy 50 is closed from Sly Park to Meyers due to the Kyburz Fire, which is being fought on both sides of Hwy 50.

   Protection is being concentrated on saving summer homes in the area. 200 acres have been lost so far and the containment is at 30 %.  This fire is in the El Dorado National Forest.
