Another Shooting in Calaveras County

   According to the Calaveras Sheriff's Office, on October 29, 2015 around 6:25 AM they were called to a residence on the 10000 block of MJB Ranch Road off Pool Station Road between Copperopolis and San Andreas, for
a reported shooting.

   The male victim encountered three unknown suspects on his property.  One of the suspects discharged a firearm at the victim, striking him in the upper torso.

   The suspects fled the scene, possibly on foot towards Pool Station Road.  The victim was conscious and alert upon the deputies' arrival and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.

   Calaveras County deputies, Angels Camp Police Officers and the California Highway Patrol, including a CHP helicopter, searched the area for the suspects with negative results.

  Calaveras Sheriff's detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating this incident.

   Preliminary statements and evidence indicate that this shooting is related to a marijuana growing operation.

   The suspects in this incident are described as follows: #1  is 5'10", 220 lbs, wearing a black hoody with mask and armed with a handgun; #2 was 6', had a heavy build, black hoody with mask and #3 was a white male adult, 6' heavy, clean shaven wearing a green hoody.

Seriously, you really think this will stop as soon as it is legal. All they want is free dope. It will always attract the criminals. It is not going to stop! I will get even worst.

Have not heard of people being shot over a bottle of Booze that is GROWING on their property.
