Cal Fire: Burning embers fly up to a mile

  UPDATE:  Now we are told that the $43 million left in the tax fund paid by property owners, has gone to waste and was NOT used to help us in the Butte Fire AT ALL!!

 Cal Fire reminds us of something we all learned in the Butte Fire. that "burning embers can destroy homes up to a MILE ahead of a wildfire."


   Therefore, their clear-cut plans were worthless from the beginning. You could allow absolutely NO trees for miles in any direction for that failed plan to work.

   One thing that could save your home, according to Cal Fire, is putting on a composition, metal or tile roof.
