Guy Meyers denied zoning change in Valley Springs (memories of 07-242)

At the May 19, 2016 Calaveras Planning Commission meeting Guy Meyers was denied his request to change the zoning of one of his buildings.

Even ValleySprings.com was asking the commissioners to be more flexible. Meyers reminded the commission that our economy died in '07 when the Calaveras Supervisors ended development. (Resolution 07-242 now requires 40 acre minimums to build a home).

They denied the rezone because they dont want another dispensary. They should rezone the property and address the application for the dispensary in a separate hearing

Wasn't 07-242 the 40 acres law, a Tom Tryon resolunton? Seems like he lost the election over it or something like that.
