Like many law enforcement agencies across the county, the Justice Department was requested to do an investigation into corruption.
The scathing review it received was worse than even Chicago's Mayor expected.
While Calaveras County law enforcement is not often capable of racist accusations, the corruption in the Calaveras Sheriff's department is rampant, to which this publication has been witness.
There have been many complaints of the Sheriff's handling (or should we say NOT handling) of complaints.
