Disturbances, Loitering, Suspicious Persons or Vehicles

Every day we see reports from residents and business people all over Calaveras County, who call the Sheriff's Office to report suspicious vehicles or persons, disturbances of all kinds and loitering.
Does it seems that there are more of these reports now than there were 5 years ago, before the recession? Of course there are.
There are so many people unemployed, with nothing to do and angry, who just hang around, and eventually get into trouble with neighbors or businesses.
It's a good thing that the public cares enough to report anything that seems suspicious, because ultimately this can turn into a crime. And that's the Sheriff's job!
