A person who identifies themselves as AKA Postal, immediately responded to the article we wrote as our opinion of the incompetence at the USPS (post offices).Spoken like a true union member, although not printable, they complained that they haven't had a raise since 2009. Poor babies!
We know many, many people who have had wage cuts, benefit cuts and layoffs. So what's your beef? Isn't it time you agreed to a 1/3 cut in pay and benefits?
This person also mentioned that Postmasters are not union. DUH! No, they are management and therefore make even more money than the union workers, and often sit alone at little post offices with nothing to do. (We have seen them)
They slammed the article and defended their APWU to the fullest. Of course, the union is only as powerful as how many members pay them dues (it's about money), so they seem to be in extreme defense mode; not really seeming to care about the members per se, but more the dues they spend on TV ads and perhaps the wages the union officials receive.
And that's our opinion, AKA POSTAL!

I go to the post office in Altaville and I have always been treated well. After 14 years of being a paying box customer, I have no complaints. I don't know what kind of salaries they make but I imagine the job they do can be done by a min wage worker. Do you realize that the tellers at most banks start at min wage and only get part time hours? They are counting your money! All the money banks make and they recruit ppl who will work for min wage! I would prefer that my bank teller be more knowledgeable and paided better than my postal worker. Times are tough, state, federal and all govt jobs that have paid well in the past need to be adjusted, just like private jobs. They should work for UPS or Federal Express, those employees work extremely hard.
these people just don't get it.they don't live in the real world, and some are very rude, especially if not being watched.
