According to CHP on July 9, 2013 atound 6:50 PM, Muriel C. Norman (65) of West Point was driving a 1990 Toyota Pickup northbound at 35 MPH while allegedly intoxicated.
Per the report, due to his intoxication Norman allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway and the front of his vehicle hit a tree.
Norman fled the scene to his home nearby However he was located by law enforcement and brought back to the scene.
Norman was arrested at the scene for alleged DUI and booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
